Looking at this photo and time and again realizing we live on the best possible planet in the best possible world [1]. Yes, there are those who would say it’s not sure, and it isn’t indeed, but until we _prove_ otherwise, kindly STFU.
The sky, the light of sunshine flickering on clear water. The sand.
The light. The air.
The sun.
And most of our, the humankind’s, woes, as said by many others before, are just because we can’t sit still for 5 minutes and do nothing and observe. We have to always run somewhere, conquer something, run from ourselves.
All this, while it’s quite clear at this point in history that if we put our minds to it, we can make this planet sustain all of us, and many more of us, at reasonably great standards of living (yes, yes, also vanquishing diseases) without the need for any fighting among each other, including in wars.
But we don’t want that, do we? That would be boring. So back to suffering the human race goes. But there is always another way.
And all it takes is to start enjoying one’s mere existence.

[1] yes, yes, that very same _[meilleur des mondes possibles](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_of_all_possible_worlds)_ of which Leibniz was so happy to talk about that he wrote a whole huge book on the topic. And, naturally, despite being so simple and to the point, it wasn’t enough so as to educate our bored species on this simple basic truth.
And since you’re here, here’s a good song/poem for you, dear reader: [I got you on tape – Somersault](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwqB-VlveBY)
